Pancoast Elected to Chair OHA Board; Ennen and Hubbs Elected as Officers

James Pancoast, a Dayton area hospital and community leader has been tapped to head the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) Board of Trustees. Pancoast, president and CEO of Premier Health Partners, Dayton, will lead the statewide association board for 2013.

Ohio hospitals have also elected a new chair-elect and secretary/treasurer as well as five trustees-at-large to serve on OHA Board.

Phillip Ennen, president & CEO of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan Hospital, was elected chair-elect for the upcoming year and Olas “Chip” Hubbs III, president & CEO of Memorial Hospital of Union County was elected secretary/treasurer.

The immediate past chair is Fred DeGrandis, president, Cleveland Health Network and chairman, Cleveland Clinic Community Physician Partnership and Quality Alliance, Cleveland.

Elected trustee-at-large are:

  • Steven Gabbe, MD, CEO & senior vice president for health sciences, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus
  • LeeAnn Lucas-Helber, president, Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan
  • Tim Colburn, president & CEO, Berger Health System, Circleville
  • Mel Fahs, president & CEO, Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville
  • Cynthia Moore-Hardy, president & CEO, Lake Health, Concord

OHA’s board includes representatives from small and large hospitals, teaching facilities and health care systems. The OHA Board is responsible for all business of the association and has the authority to adopt policy for the association. The Board consists of the chair, chair-elect, secretary/treasurer, immediate past chair, the OHA president, and up to 19 trustees-at-large.
